PLEDGE AND ACCOUNTABILITY TRACKER

Accountability is the bedrock of climate justice

Our flagship “Pledge and Accountability Tracker” will provide a comprehensive dashboard designed to ensure transparency at every stage of the delivery of support by the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD).

First, we will track the money flowing into the fund, monitoring pledges, analysing their quality (are they grants or repackaged loans or aid?), and verifying their conversion into real and accessible debt free money.

Second, we follow the money to the ground level. Monitor how these resources are disbursed and used within countries, looking closely at whether the process centres community needs and promotes local leadership.

By illuminating this entire journey, the Tracker intends to make every actor in the process accountable, from the contributor to the implementing agency, to guarantee that the funds deliver real, community-led solutions.
